A Ceremonial Tree Planting

Celebrating the initiation of a unique partnership between Coventry Meadows Senior Community and the Little River Wetlands Project.

Monday, November 13th
11 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.

Join American Senior Communities and Little River Wetlands Project as they kick off a new partnership between two organizations, the local community and the residents and family of Coventry Meadows Senior Community.

A ceremontial tree planting will take place on Eagle Marsh adjacent to the Coventry Meadows Community, followed by a free buffet lunch provided by Coventry Meadows and a short presentation and slide show about the Eagle Marsh wetland restoration.

Eagle Marsh is a 670 acre wetland restoration adjacent to Fox Island. When completed, this project will be the third largest wetlands restoration in the state and the largest such project in Northeastern Indiana. Eagle Marsh will be a wonderful location for birding, walking on the nature trails and nature photography. Coventry Meadows Community is ideally located to view and access the Marsh. The coming Greenway Towpath Trail will provide access to all of Fort Wayne and create a unique natural area for all to enjoy.

Coventry Meadows and Little River Wetlands Project will be initiating a unique and comprehensive partnership to present educational, recreational and volunteering opportunities for the residents and family of Coventry Meadows, as well as the local community, surrounding businesses and other conservation organizations.

Please RSVP to the Little River Wetlands Project at 260-478-2515 or info@lrwp.org. Reservations can also be made by calling Coventry Meadows at 260-432-4848.
