The ACPWQ offers presentations and lessons about water resources
for any school or civic group. These presentations can be either
hands-on or lecture format. They can be tailored to water related
subject matter that your group would most like to explore. Example
topics include: Conserving Water, What's a Watershed? and Green
Landscaping.
The City of Fort Wayne offers tours of the Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant and the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). These tours are usually offered to students from third grade level upwards. This is a wonderful way to teach young residents where their drinking water comes from and how wastewater is handled when it leaves their homes.
The St. Joseph River Watershed Initiative (SJRWI) offers presentations about the St. Joseph River Watershed, the source of Fort Wayne and New Haven drinking water. These presentations are offered to groups of all ages.
